Dayum, Amsterdam

I honestly didn’t think much of Amsterdam before getting there; all I knew was its reputation for, err, its cultural habits. But I think I’d have to say it’s one of my favourite places so far. The people are so friendly, the food is so cheap, and it’s so laidback. Well, unless you’re crossing the road – that’s utter chaos. Bike lanes, tram tracks, cars, taxis … looking both ways won’t even cut it.

One of the best things about the city was doing the bike tour around the central of Amsterdam. Of course I’m a terrible cyclist and pretty much made my mates obligatory babysitters, but it was such a good way to see the city and get an understanding of their road rules. (But mind you, because I’m so anxious I pretty much stopped minimally …)

I’m starting to run out of clothes to wear – have not been shopping since Lafayette (what up?!) – and am starting to use beauty products in a number of different ways, eg. mascara as an eyebrow pencil/gel. What up.
